Due to COVID-19 concerns, many people are wondering how to continue to shop for their groceries in a safe way. We have many stores locally in Rapid City offering curbside grocery pick-up at no extra fee. This is safe and easy. These stores have clearly marked areas for people to park that are doing "pick up" Here is some useful information for anyone trying this for the first time. Please note, with any of these services, they do their best to accommodate your grocery needs. Walmart sends you a list of "substitution options" ahead of your pick up time that you can accept or reject.
We are continuing to add to our curbside grocery options! Here are two more local stores offering curbside pickup with you order online
Walmart accepts curbside grocery orders online or using their app. Select your preferred location (N. Lacrosse or Stumer Rd). You load your virtual grocery cart, create an account so you can prepay with a credit card, choose your desired pickup time and day. When you pull into any one of the available "grocery pick up" spots at Walmart, there is a telephone number posted. You call that number to let them know you are waiting for your pick up. Each parking spot has a number (i.e. I'm waiting at parking spot 4, etc)
You don't even have to get out of your car if you are wanting to maintain social distancing. Just open up the back so they can load your groceries.

Sams Club works the same way as Walmart. You do need a Sams Club membership to use their service. When you pull into the "grocery pick up" at Sams Club, there is a phone number on your Sams app if the delivery people don't notice you are out there. Everything works the same except Sams Club won't suggest substitutions. If they are out of an item, it will just be missing from your order.
